Bua Tong’s Sticky Waterfalls

by Happy A

Today, we are going on a tour outside of Chiang mai. We started with a temple and now we are in the car going to a rare sight of the world. The Sticky Waterfalls were named after the Princess Bua Tong. It is named a sticky waterfall because the stone has so much grip.

At first when my sister and I were going down the stairs we were afraid since the waterfall looked steep and tall. When we got to the bottom we stepped in a foot deep creek that was really cold and  refreshing. Then we started climbing up the  waterfall and realized it wasn’t slippery but sticky.

We climbed it with bravery. Furthermore, we reached a steep part of the waterfall and my sister got scared, so I  took the lead to show her it was ok. I placed my feet in the carved holes to get up. Then we realized we got to the end and all of us wanted to go again. For the last time we went down the stairs and my sister and I were so adventurous and brave that we asked to go alone. Our parents said ok, so we started our adventure.

We started our journey together and in some parts we saw beautiful views of nature. When we got to the top we waited for our parents. Then we started the steep climb for the last level and held on to the rope. It was difficult because the people behind us were moving the rope and waited for them to pass. Then we started climbing and finally finished. We got out and had a watermelon smoothie to cool off and fill our stomach.
